IN LIGHT OF THE WORLD FOOTBALL CUP
In cooperation with the Football Association of Serbia, Videostroj team and RTS’s sports journalist Aleksandar Stojanovic visited the Serbian football team in clubs throughout Europe prior to the FIFA World Cup in Russia. We visited their homes, training camps, stadiums where they play, places they go out, and took a glimpse at their professional and private lives. We talked about various topics and had the opportunity to get very personal, honest and direct answers. We visited Aleksandar Mitrovic, Luka Milivojevic, Marko Grujic, Dusan Tadic, Nemanja Matic, Vladimir Stojkovic, Vujadin Savic, Ivan Obradovic, Uros Spajic, Lazar Markovic, Aleksandar Kolarov, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Nikola Milenkovic and Dusan Vlahovic.

This is a story about them, their experiences, their efforts, their successes, the upcoming world championship, the preparations, the current situation in Serbian football, and about teams and clubs where they currently play. The series was broadcasted by Serbian National Television (Radio Television of Serbia – RTS) from June 6 to 13, 2018. In light of the World Cup is an innovative project that gave viewers an intimate insight into the lives of top athletes, allowing them to find out what kind of sacrifice and talent are needed to play in the national team. The show presents the privileges, but also the difficulties and responsibilities of playing in top European clubs. This show has attracted fiery fans and sports lovers, as well as a wide spectrum of new audiences.
