James Corden, a charming host of The Late Late Show on CBS, managed to turn a simple human behavior act into a world sensation: singing in the car. Carpool Karaoke is a global hit where celebrities “share the ride” with a host, lead an interesting conversation and singing their own songs, but other hits as well.Although it is a seemingly simple concept, it is technically very demanding to shoot: the lighting, a large number of cameras and sound recording in the car are particularly challenging. While the car moves along the road and through a traffic in a convoy with a director’s car, the production team encounters a set of special circumstances that makes this television format very demanding and difficult, but, above all – entertaining.During the spring of 2017, Videostroj started producing Carpool Karaoke for Slovenian POP TV – named Avto Karaoke. In the fall of the same year, we started with season 2 of the show due to great popularity and high ratings.
